Terms of Service
Last updated Sep 7, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern your use of Marchpost. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
The service
Marchpost performs passive, external security checks against domains you specify and produces reports and alerts from the results. It is an informational tool. It is not a penetration test, a vulnerability assessment of internal systems, a compliance certification, or a guarantee that a domain is secure.
A clean Marchpost report does not mean a domain cannot be compromised. You remain responsible for your own and your clients’ security decisions.
Acceptable use
- You may scan domains you own, domains you administer, and domains belonging to organisations you are engaging with in good faith as a prospective or current service provider.
- You may not use Marchpost to conduct reconnaissance for unauthorised access, to harass an organisation, or in any way that breaks the law where you or the target are located.
- You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, resell raw API access without a written agreement, or use the service to build a competing product.
- We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is being used to break these rules. Where we can, we will contact you first.
Your data and your clients’ data
You own the data you put into Marchpost. We process it to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to enter your clients’ information, and for what you do with the reports you generate.
You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, and display that data back to you and to the people you share reports with.
Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe.
- Plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; your plan continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We do not provide refunds for partial periods. If something has genuinely gone wrong, email us — we would rather sort it out than argue.
- If a payment fails we will retry it and email you. After repeated failures the workspace is downgraded, not deleted.
- We may change prices with 30 days’ notice by email. Existing subscriptions keep their price until the next renewal after that notice.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on self-service plans. We publish incidents and will tell you when something has gone wrong.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marchpost is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost business. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate an account for a material breach of these terms, or with 30 days’ notice for any other reason, refunding any unused prepaid period.
Changes
We will email account holders at least 30 days before any material change to these terms.
